Delete your data & account
You can delete your Art Block data and account from inside the Art Block app. Art Block is developed and published by Vardar Studio Inc. (Quebec, Canada).
Art Block is local-first: much of your practice journal lives on your device. Actions below describe what is removed on our servers and on your device. Data stored only on your phone is not deleted remotely unless noted — uninstall the app or clear app data locally if you want it removed from the device.
1. Delete data without deleting your account
Art Block lets you remove specific data while keeping your account and sign-in.
In the app (self-service)
| Action | Steps | What is deleted |
|---|---|---|
| Erase cloud backup only | Profile → Settings → Cloud backup → Erase my data → confirm | Cloud backup (practice program, session logs, pursuits, mediums, profile avatar in backup). Account and data on this device are kept. |
| Delete one practice session | Profile → Diary → long-press a session → Delete → confirm | That session, its photo on device, and any linked social post/cover on our servers |
| Delete a social comment | Open the post → your comment → Delete | That comment only |
| Remove a post from the social feed | Open session in Diary → turn off Share to social feed | Removes the post from the social feed; the diary entry can remain on device |
| Clear activity notifications | Social tab → Activity (bell) → Clear all | Clears your in-app notification list |
Android has these flows today. iOS has equivalent cloud-backup erase and diary deletion. Paths above apply to the Art Block app on both platforms where the feature is available.
What may remain after partial deletion
- Your account (email / sign-in) unless you also delete your account (see Section 2)
- Subscription / purchase records retained by Google Play and RevenueCat (tax, fraud, legal — we do not store payment card details)
- Moderation or safety records where required by law (may be anonymized)
- Server backups: encrypted backups may persist up to 30 days, then purged
- Data on your device: not removed remotely; uninstall the app or clear app data locally if desired
2. Delete your Art Block account (and associated data)
Permanent deletion of your account and personal data associated with it.
How to delete your account
In the Art Block app:
Settings → Account → Delete account
Follow the on-screen steps to confirm. Deletion is processed promptly.
If you subscribed to Art Block Pro
- Cancel your subscription in Google Play → Subscriptions (Android) or App Store → Subscriptions (iOS) before or after deleting your account. Cancellation alone does not delete your account or data.
- Purchase history may be retained by Google, Apple, and RevenueCat per their policies.
If you signed in with Google
After deleting your account, you can revoke Art Block’s access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
